A Life...

A life..

Oh! Don’t you see yonder?
A pretty girl on that shore..
Sitting there by her self,
Lost, Alone, Sad.beautiful.

Her wet lashes look up now and then
Seeking out onto the sea,
Searching beyond the horizon far
For when her sailor come back for her

Upon the rock she sat
As the waves beat across that
A wild beat that only the sea knew
Her sad heart swayed to the beat

Tears trickled down her face
Tiny salty drops fell into the water
Her hopes, her dreams, her life
Washed away with the huge waves

She knew he wouldn’t come back
Back from the world so far
So far behind he left her
She couldn’t follow him there

Oh! There she sits by herself
On that rock waiting
For her beloved to return
From the world unknown..

I Am Someone

I am someone
I walked past a dead face
even though the person was alive
I saw my eyes in the mirror
and cried at the sight
I looked at a person I didn't know
and I met a friend
I got heads to turn
when I walked past
I learned a lot about myself
when I lost a new friend
I cried every tear in my body
when I thought about love
I got hit bad
then got back in the ring
I climbed a mountain of rocks
and saw an eagle fly over- head
I heard terrible things about myself
when no one thought I was listening
I realized I was strong
when I didn't cry when it hurt
I found out who I was
when I was with someone else
I thought I was lost forever
when a friend found me
I held a life in my hand
and it was my own
I was a pawn in someone else's game
so I surrendered to a brook
I walked the fine line between surviving
and not wanting to survive
I still am
I am someone

Reality Check

Reality Check

Life is, but, the main journey
Made up of different roads,
Short & Long Or Up & Down,
Or filled with varying loads.

The paths are all variable constants
The choice is yours to make,
For, on this journey, far and long,
Everyone, a different path, must take.

For its the choices that make a man
And not just his abilities
Then he can even fly in the race
In spite of his many disabilities.

Life is all, but, the way you live
On you, everything depends,
To foolishly try and run amok
Or tie up all the loose ends.

I tried to flee, run away from it,
When it all became too much
But try all you can, you can't escape
The way of life is such.

Life is more than just a shadow,
Its the truth penultimate,
You are bound to life itself,
It is your lasting fate.

Wherever you go, yonder, afar,
You think you've left everything behind.
Detaching Yourself from the normal way
Is delirious, you would find.

One day must come, when you will stand
Again, where you once were;
Things are just exactly the same
Nothing has dissappeared.

This break from life is temporary,
This small respite from routine;
Where order seemingly melts away
Pending work is quarantined.

You might make merry and enjoy
This ray of sunshine small ;
Forgetting that the clouds will come again
And darkness shall cover all.

For life always awaits your return
To this world of endless turmoil;
Life is the Biggest picture, my friend,
You reap rewards for your toil.

Life may seem, harsh, to you;
Harsh is all reality.
Yet all that we see or seem
Is but like a dream within a dream.

Reality is a persistent illusion,
Reality never fades,
To face reality, everyone has,
Not lament beneath the shades.

Reality is that which doesnt go away
Even when you stop believing,
So dream & achieve with open eyes,
Thats the secret of living.

For, you can close your eyes to reality
But surely not to memories
So, once a while, have a reality check
To map your path to victories.

The Darkness

The Darkness

If only it were so simple,
to cruise through life smelling roses;
but the obstacles blacken the countryside,
and we unwittingly crush them beneath our boots.

Dreams sustain us through the madness;
goals give a finish line to our race.
Yet they change with every turn, around every wall,
and remain elusive throughout the quest.

Mistakes are made, and regrets are our luggage;
we will drag them with us to slow us down.
The victories are flashes of light, sudden and unlasting, which allow us
to glimpse the road ahead before darkness descends.

Love is bitter, yet it is the bread that keeps us.
Over and over it fills us up, only to starve us.
The people whom we love shape our destinies and our strengths,
yet leave us cold and alone in the darkness.

There are others trying to race to the end;
occasionally, we bump into one or two.
The bonds we form help us down the path less lonely
but eventually, we lose each other in the darkness.

Alone is not a bad way to be;
it clears your head and focuses you on the journey.
Cherish the short intervals during the quest you have with others,
but be prepared to walk alone in the darkness.

Sleepless Night

Sleepless Night
A sleepless night
Spent struggling
Through the meanders of my mind

In endless explorations.

Innumerable considerations

Scattered around

As stars in the sky

None with enough light

Of its own

But adaptable

In their interconnection

To show me the way.

The harmony of the universe

Confined for a moment

in the boundaries of my head

explodes in its beauty.

The thirst for knowledge

Has kneeled
At my need of sensations.

Bittersweet memories
Erase all the powerful thoughts
Leaving a proven soul

Sighing in an exhausted body.

The dread of the night
Has subsided
And a sudden warmth
Has overtaken me.

While the first sunbeam
Sneaks through the window

I remember how to sleep.

-
Sitting alone, lookin' out my window. Wondering how could I ever make it. Without you here I find myself drying tears. I wish I could have you here. I don't wanna be without you baby. Cause girl you know… That you should never left me alone.

Mere Words.....

Mere Words

I searched among the card displays,
To see if I could find,
A little something that would say
Just what was on my mind.

However there was not a one,
That captured it just right,
For no one else can understand
Just what I'd like to write.

I even find it difficult
To try to write it down,
For how do I portray to you,
The love that I have known?

I close my eyes and what I see,
Is someone I adore;
A person who is beautiful,
Right down into their soul.

Mere words cannot describe
The many qualities you show,
The love and caring nature that
You share with those who know.

Your kind and gentle temperament,
Your sweet angelic smile,
Your softly spoken sentiments,
That reach across the miles.

Your smile and laugh that sparkle with
The softness of your sighs,
The way your face lights up a room ...
That twinkle in your eye.

The loving gestures through the years,
That quickly come to mind,
For always you've a gentle word
To calm and soothe I find.

I struggle and I search to try
To find some words anew ...
And yet I cannot capture
All the things that make you you.

I shall therefore, be satisfied
That you must simply know,
Just how I feel about you,
For with words I cannot show.

As Days Flew By

As Days Flew By

The very first time I saw you,
Was special how we met.
You took me by complete surprise.
I knew my heart was set.

As days flew by, we talked again,
But you never seemed to care.
I tried my best to help you out,
By a favor here, or a favor there.

Although I made a fast approach,
Our friendship grew and grew.
I realized how deep I cared,
But the feeling I felt was new.

In time I became attached to you.
From a hug, I wouldn't let go.
I soon saw how close we were,
And the feeling was good to know.

For you, I wrote sweet letters and songs.
You were on my mind all day.
The thought of sleeping was nowhere near,
Unless I knew you were okay.

It hit me then, what I was in -
A unique and precious love.
For the person I said was only mine,
Was an angel sent from above.

The minutes without you turned into days,
And the seconds with you flew fast.
I could only wish to see you more,
And make each moment last.

The times I spent with you,
Were what made my heart complete.
I knew one thing for sure,
Without you, my future was obsolete.

And now, we love just the same,
As it doubles day by day.
I stare deep into your precious eyes,
Yet I'm still speechless to what I should say.

With you, I'm in a whole new world.
You bring out the best in me.
It's hard to picture you not there,
When you taught me who to be.

Yes, the road ahead gets hard,
When things may only seem rough.
But because you and I try so much,
We'll stay strong and get by tough.

Though problems may lie ahead someday,
And either of us could be right;
I promise to always be by your side,
And I promise my heart, so hold it tight.

And so, each night, beside my bed,
When there's only bright stars to see;
I pray that we may never give up,
And will always remain you and me.
