Journey

Journey...

Set out from my home,
For a purposeful trip,
To places far away, to roam;
Where nature has its firm grip.

To go away, to go afar,
Places under the burning red star,
Going by foot, else by car
Upon the endless coal-black tar.

Journeying onto places anew,
Places full of glittering dew;
Places of joy, and of fun,
Everywhere, in short, under the sun.

Places of grief & Of sorrow,
Places where there's no tomorrow.
Here, the lamps of joy should be lit
Darkness will flee, bit by bit.

Take the land, or the air
Travelling with an elegant flair
By rail, or the endless road,
Taking with us a heavy load.

Past this vast expanse of endless land,
By the sea, or the sand
Free, free like the birds in the sky
Thoughtless, winged, while they fly.

The wingless clouds ushering above,
Peace flourishes, one white dove.
In my heart, a pool of bliss
Impatience, yet, continues to hiss.

Travel, to man, exposes the world
Tests his freedom, now unfurled,
Going away, going, now gone
NIghts ablaze, so is the dawn.

Freedom, so true, is tested now,
Wisdom awakes, is unclear how ?
Truth now bestows her wondrous gaze,
Challenges can now be stared at unfazed.

Travel does surely strengthen a man,
Shows him what to do, he surely can
Foot by foot, the world is measured,
Forever and ever will the journey be treasured.

Night

Night

The great black dome; suspended above
Great Heavens looking down
Earth firmly nested in Nature's cove,
Wearing its ethereal black gown.

This enormous black cover faces us
The stars like its many eyes,
Clouds drifting by, vapour pus
This enormous blanket, colour of mice.

Pressing over the earth, a lightless veil
Unfathomable, even to the sharpest eye
Small lights flicker on, feeble, frail;
All dissolved in this great black dye.

This phenomenon, succeeding day,
The time whence all creations rest,
Night, as everybody doth say,
Birds firmly cooped up in their nest's.

Silence is its everlasting companion,
Sound itself becomes silent, paying homage.
Dark & Swooping comes the night,
Swallowing, engulfing all Light.

That which is unyielding and absolute,
Far beautiful, compared to day.
Not one, but many stars doth it yield
None can escape from it, there exists no shield.

The only witness being the heavenly stars above
Incomprehensible patterns etched above,
The power of Night nullifies them all,
Both at its rise and also at ts fall.

The antonym, equal, opposite to Day,
So powerful, keeps all Light at bay,
This beautiful temptress, eternal enchantress;
Adorns the earth, wrapped- a nightdress.

All the people in the world I ask thee
Look up into the skies and see
The stars and the lone Moon & ask them
'Whence the Night cometh and goes,
Beautiful and more powerful then you,
So graceful and seducing,
This dark lady - hail her- Night'.

Hello Every1

Hey u people.... a very Warm Welcome 2 my Blog. I am Aravind and I hope to share my creations with you."Intelligence is Not a privilege. Its a virtue that is god-gifted and has to be used for the welfare of Mankind." Remember those words from SpiderMan-2.. whence Otto Octavius tells Peter Parker. They are very important words to be remembered always.. they need to be treasured.
as you so observe around you, The world is full of Good and evil - more evil than good as i might add.. but the need of the world is Efficiency.. efficient people who give us results- irrespective of the complicated situations they have to go through.

Whatever we might be, we must all try to contribute in some way r the other towards the well being of this world. After all, due to the selfless actions of very few Samaritans, this world keeps on running. It is not necessary to start Big... but to start Good. We can help at least 1 person a day... and these random acts of goodness will not only be beneficial for you, but also for the human society, this world as a whole. Thus we must try to be good and spread this message to as many people as we can.

As some one said, Evil can never be completely eradicated, but we must try our level best to keep it at bay. with this pleasant note, I conclude for now and will begin posting my poems for you to enjoy. May God bless All...

A.K.
