Where are you going, where have you been?

My dear, close, and quiet friend,

As we sit in the soft springtime Saturday's end

Taking comfort in each other once again.

Tell me your stories and I'll tell you mine;

And so we will pass a few hours time

With the quaint and the comic and even sublime -

Silently searching for that elusive sign.

We'll fashion the future and polish the past,

Allowing the memories to amass;

While the grains of sand slip through the glass

'Til a tranquil lull pervades at last.

Conversation fades with the eve's golden light,

We cannot go on, try though we might;

So you gather me an embrace so tight,

And we wistfully, longingly say goodnight.

When you feel all alone, or trapped in the dark,

Just remember that I am there,

I'll be by your side, I'll hold your hand,

And dispel all your fears.

When the path seems long and us wearisome to tread,

And you are just by yourself,

I'll give you company till you reach your goal,

I'll be always there to help.

When the going gets tough and when all is not well,

You can rest your head on my shoulder,

I'll whisper calm words lovingly to your ear,

I'l be warm for you should it get colder!

When the sun goes down and all becomes dark,

And if you get frightened of the night,

I'll be there for you whenever you think of me,

I'll come to your aid every time,

If you need to be happy, I'll be your smile,

I'l be your melodious rhyme.

I'll catch your tears & keep your secrets,

I'll be there in times good & bad,

I'll be there through your afflictions, see you through defeats,

I'll ensure that you never remain sad.

When you're down and the world seems empty and dark,

I'll be there, lighting your road,

You can follow in my wake, in my afterglow,

I'm your firefly, and gladly will I share your load!

Message In a Bottle

I sent out the directions,

To the princess who will come my way one day,

I sent to her this message,

And this is what I had to say.

For my dearest Princess;

Whoever you may be,

Know that wherever you are,

To my heart you have the key.

I know that when you get here,

My heart will skip a beat,

And with your gentle touch,

You'll knock me off my feet.

You'll push your way through the locked doors,

Leading to my heart,

Battling all my fears of love,

Giving love for me a brand new start.

I think you've already found me,

Disguising yourself to me,

Teaching me my lessons now,

Then forever we can be.

I thought that I had found you,

I so easily let her go,

For that game of love I was unprepared,

A game I just didn't know.

Maybe she was you,

I just didn't know,

But when you, my Princess, reveal your disguise,

I'll know to never let you go.

But if I am wrong and she you are not,

I hope you soon will find,

I'll be the prince you're looking for

I'll be yours for all time.

Until then my princess, whoever you are,

I guess that I shall go,

I will love you when you get here,

Be sure that this you know.

So I sealed my message with a rose,

And shipped the bottle on its way,

And under the beautiful moon,

I wait for my princess each day.

Maybe she's gotten lost,

Or even taken a wrong turn,

Maybe she's right in front of me,

Just teaching me the love lessons I need to learn.

Alone

I sat alone

Lost & forlorn,

Totally heartbroken,

I was just on my own.

I was numb,

Paralysed by shock,

Unable to comprehend,

This tragedy, behemoth!

I sat in silence,

Somehow bearing the pain,

Tears began to fall,

Like drops of rain.

I felt like a newborn baby,

Totally alone in the world,

I could do nothing,

For away from you I was hurled!

Fate is indeed cruel,

It tore me apart from you,

I want you back somehow,

I cant begin my life anew!

Oh my angel,

Come back to me,

For without you,

Life is hardly worth living I see.

The Lord took you close,

And forsake me under the skies,

My world suddenly froze

And everything seemed a lie!

You went where I couldn't follow,

You went away from me,

You really became an angel,

Whom I no longer could see.

I end this now,

Get up and walk away,

Knowing not what road lies ahead,

& How long like this I am going to stay....

When I Close My Eyes

I know when I close my eyes,
They spread their wings to fly.
I can see their halos glow,
when I close my eyes.

They drift amongst the clouds,
always looking down.
Watching over me when days go by.
I know they do this when I close my eyes.

I bet they talk about my love and hates
and they can determine my own fate
And I bet they talk to God each night
To make sure what I do at night.

But God didn't put wings on friends,
though I do not know why.
Because I know that they are angels
Every time I close my eyes.

As you travel through life, there are always those times

When decisions just have to be made;

When the choices are hard and solutions seem scarce,

And the rain seems to soak your parade.

There are some situations where all you can do

Is to simply let go and move on,

Gather courage together and choose a direction

That carries you toward a new dawn.

So pack up your troubles and take a step forward-

The process of change can be tough,

But think about all the excitement ahead,

If you can be stalwart enough.

There could be adventures you never imagined

Just waiting around the next bend -

And wishes and dreams just about to come true

In ways you can't yet comprehend.

Perhaps you'll find friendships that spring from new interests

As you challenge your status quo,

And you learn there are so many options in life

And so many ways you can grow.

Perhaps you'll go places you never expected

And see things you've never seen -

Or travel to fabulous far-away worlds

And wonderful spots in between.

Perhaps you'll find warmth and affection and caring -

A "somebody special" who's there

To help you stay centered and listen with interest

To stories and feelings you share.

Perhaps you'll find comfort in knowing your friends

Are supportive of all that you do -

And believe that whatever decisions you make,

They'll be the right choices for you.

So keep putting one foot in front of the other,

And taking your life day by day.

There's a brighter tomorrow that's just down the road,

Don't look back, you're not going that way.

I was cold and hurting,

Lost out in the night,

Wandering and searching

For heaven's light.

I saw the night sky clearing,

When you spread your wings,

But little did I know,

What joy you would bring.

From that moment on,

A friendship did start.

You kissed away my tears,

And sheltered my heart.

I bless the day God,

Sent you from above,

But then I grew fearful,

For I had fallen in love.

I told you this feeling,

And what did you say?

You said you liked our friendship,

And that's how it would stay.

I cried for a friendship, I thought I had lost,

But then felt your warm, gentle hand.
